Message	When the starter was bad all I could hear is a whirling sound. Or I would get the grinding sound as if the gears are missing the flywheel. But in both case at times I would have to keep starting the car before it would turn over.. Its not hard to change the starter..I think the hardest part to me is getting the car up high enough to get to it and make sure you have a stubby wrench or elbow for the socket wrench to get to the top bolt
